Neither Haas, Tino or Keon would come to us? What do we have to offer? Broncos have top 4 finishes. South’s have Bennett and Tino could walk back into Storm if he wanted. We won’t attract top tier players until we can start performing like a top tier club. I’d prefer to see us develop from within instead of paying overs.

Tigers & Bulldogs were in a lot worse shape when they brought in the likes of Burton, Kikau, Luai, May etc. If you got the money players will come.

Hass, Tino, Koloamatangi are about as good as you get then you have Lindsay Smith, Griffen Neame....I even like Liam Henry.

Haas has been pretty much confirmed to stay with Brisbane. Tino could leave but I think we would struggle to compete with the Bears and it’s likely he stays with Souths IMO. Neame and Henry are solid but I’d like to think we could make bigger signings in our pack for 2028 than those 2.

Talau should have a starting position at our club. Was our best outside back last year. And Saab has been 3rd grade standard for months.

Reports were that Talau was close to re-signing now that he is departing. So the obvious assumption is another club be it here or overseas has come in with an offer over ours, be it financially or in terms of starting minutes.

Maybe another club has sold him on a starting birth?

Maybe he fancies a year abroad playing SL before returning and pursuing the Bears.

Maybe another club have offered a 3 year deal on good money.

At this point we don't know but I'll reserve bagging the club till after it cones to light.

You cannot bag the club, it’s just the nature of footy players these days, they want the biggest dollars , and a guaranteed first grade spot.

Talau is too good to be depth. A club with crap backs, be it here or the UK, will be willing to give him what we can't.
