A player not getting sent off for foul play could cost a GF win

It is possible someone will win a GF one day due to taking out someone like JT in the first 5 minutes. Say a careless high shot and JT is gone for the game. Terry Lamb taking out Hanley could have won The dogs a GF. Is it fair, as is currently the case, that the hit man stays on the field and the team is rewarded with an unlikely win. Maybe the hit man needs a spell on the sideline and temporarily replaced while the incident is video anylised and if deemed illegal send him off. Milk shake Dougall is a good example as there is no way he should have stayed on the field after mauling Tooveys head with his boot. Of course they claim accident but claim all you like and think about as you get first use of the shower! Crocker on Brett Stewart , well disguised as an accident, send him off! Lucky they didn't get to Bozo in 73!

Have always thought that as well, what's stopping someone from say taking a swipe at JT's head in the 1st 5 mins of a grand final when all you are going to get is put on report. Cowboys would lose their main man and their chances of winning that Grand Final drastically reduce.

The vidiets should review all possible send off/ suspension worthy incedents during breaks in play and if a player has committed an offence that is worthy then they should be sent to the bin or sent off even if its 5-10 mins later. Screw natural justice this is Waugh.

Yes that was absolutely disgusting and truly mind boggling, what do the rules say??? Bloody BS and Boyd should of been binned.

Here's a compromise....
The offending player is sent off for the rest of game, 10 mins later one of the interchange players is allowed to come on to make it 13 v 13 again. That team plays the rest of the game with a 3 man bench. Maybe even a few interchanges taken off them.
Makes the game much harder for them win, but not impossible......so still a spectacle.
