Ballin is a true champion, 230 games or so with out one sick day! He has my full respect!
Has any other player even came close?

Didn't Michael Robertson have a similar run of consecutive games for us?

EDIT: I just checked wiki & he played 139 consecutive games for Manly so, while still impressive, not quite as impressive as Ballin's run.

Hes a winger and could be a damn good one outside walks
If he's outside Walker, we've basically just crippled one of the best centres in the game.

Walker excels with blistering speed outside of him. See his performance with Uate? His performance with South's.

Suli might possibly be my least liked player to have ever been on our team. Bring back Shane Neumann!!

I will back Curtis for the best season of his career

He has talent ,motivation and resilience and can see his luck changing and playing a vital and valued role in our success this year

He is good to be around and is respected by playing group

That will fine for now

Good luck big fella you always speak highly of our club and that’s all it takes for me to do the same for you

Some players are just injury prone . When was the last time Sorro played a full season ?
Brett Stewart was just as injury prone yet no one complained! How many full seasons did Brett have from 2007 onwards??

Never has.

2012: 6 games
2013: 19 games
2014: 13 games
2015: 19 games
2016: 8 games
2017: 16 games
2018: 4 games

So 85 games in 7 seasons. Unfortunately I think he either needs a great 2019 or we should let him go, especially as he is on decent coin.

Keeping Lane would have been a better option.
Unfortunately we've had quite a few injury plagued players......Brett Stewart & Steve Matai to name a couple. Sironen has been unlucky. Our team is so much better when he's playing. Hopefully Singe can get him back on top.

It’s not Curtis’s fault that he has got injured every year but they’d have to be asking the question ( as in the club) if in his 3rd year he only gets a few games in.

I remember Matt Ballin played for about 10 years and only missed a few games right at the very end!!
The injuries followed that trainer from Penrith to us

Glad he's gone

At Manly he had Uate outside of him for the most part when he played centre. At Souffs I believe it was Alex Johnston who is also no slouch.

Here is the thing though, Walks is a right centre, Jorge is a left winger. To play them alongside of each other would be moving one to where they aren't comfortable. Besides, its more likely that Suli will probably be outside of Walks, unless he's the one being earmarked for Kelly's position if he does leave.

Hahaha......say it to his face!

For your info ....don't know how current this info is ....

THIS would have to be the greatest endurance performance of any player in rugby league's 104-year history. Gold Coast prop Luke Douglas will play his 150th consecutive NRL match this Saturday when his Titans play New Zealand in Auckland.

Only two players have played more successive games: halfback Jason Taylor (175) and winger Hazem El Masri (174). No forward, let alone a prop, has achieved such a heroic milestone.

And, remarkably, Douglas is the first player to play 150 straight matches from debut.

"It's remarkable, especially playing in the front row, he plays pretty big minutes as well, said Gold Coast coach John Cartwright.

Suli impressed many? The only people I could see being impressed were opposition coaches as they made a plan to take advantage of Parker and himself (and it happened consistently).

Jesus Christ. We've literally let Kelly walk for Suli, haven't we. Tell me it isn't true.

And people laughed at me for suggesting Cuthbertson on the wing. I may have said that in jest at the time, but we have actually gone there.
2018 was a disaster year as a team and that does not give any individual confidence to perform at their best .
We had the worst defence in the comp and every player contributed to some soft tries .
Des will harden us up and we will see a difference . Des and every tom dick and harry could see that we grossly under achieved as a team . As team we were appealing . I have never seen a Manly team surrender in so many games and most of those were winnable . We would come out , out scoring the opposition and then leak tries like the titanic and sink to another loss . We sank all the way down to wooden spoon level .
Sport is a not only a physical game @Ryan it is also a mental one and when a team like ours last season forgets how to close a game and win it impacts players psycologically and affects their confidence to perform at their best
Hasler understands this and he also has vision on which players will take our club to the next level
Hasler has been there and done that.

I still think a proper off season with Manly, especially under Des and Donny will get him in shape. Coming through the Tigers he wasn't slow, he was (still is) a tall big body with speed and footwork that is good under the highball. There is still a lot of upside in him just needs to get it back with a proper coach that can develop players into winners.

Suli worse than Myles? Basically raised the TPA issue and thanked Bozo for an all expenses payed trip to Europe whilst still being a big lead weight on our 2018 cap? He was the start of our problems and brought that Titans pi$$ weak attitude with him along with that other waste of space Ferris.

yea well said Des dosent miss a thing, no hiding from him he will spot any weaknesses in one's game and demand and watch for improvement in everyone.

As a coach Des has been there and done that .
Trent has done nothing
We will see difference to our Manly team next season feathered friend
