Yes .. but they're in a battle for the hearts and minds of Queenslanders ... it is the QLD maroon they wish to appropriate .. not the Manly maroon.

Didn’t cadburys obtain trademark protection for their shade of purple for example?

The Broncos have been quietly (and no so quietly) appropriating the colours (and therefore branding) of the Manly Warringah team for some time now.

Carefully study their training gear and merchandise in recent times, news footage, press conferences, anything - the gold colour is less prominent or totally absent. I'm surprised our club has not made a formal complaint about it.

We've got 41 more years of history in Maroon & White versus them - it's an open and shut case.

They're probably the most arrogant club / bunch of entitled supporters in the NRL - I would love to see them be forced to back-track by the NRL on this.

Mate ... they couldn't care less about Manly ... It is the QLD SOO maroon they wish to be associated with in the minds of the two headed Queenslander's ... they're in a battle with the Dolphins in Brisbane ... not Manly.

But I agree Manly should lodge a protest with the NRL. ... hopefully with the support and backing of the Dolphins, Titans and cowboys ...

The NRL will do zip. They are the biggest club in the game. If our club doesn’t lodge a complaint about this blatant attempted takeover of our clubs colours, then what exactly do we stand for? The more I think about it, the angrier I get.
