In fairness to Ennis and at least some of his criticism of Manly or their on field performances , has been quite warranted when it has obviously been of a poor standard .
Must be gradually acquiring some level of competent coaching capabilities .
Can "t see it as any major issue or problem having some input in the Manly coaching system
Regardless who is given the tasks of assisting Siebold , going to just essentially need a fairly good run on the injury front , need Turbo naturally available for the majority of the season . Koula can provide more then decent cover at the back but then really can not have any deficiencies in the centres
Get the suggestions of Turbo playing some footy there but would again suggest not the best option .
Not make or break but for the sake of overall effectiveness but to get closer to matching the big guns , really need some improved attacking input at 13 . and again irrespective who is going to give some coaching advice .Might be able to provide some extra helpful tips to Froggy and young Gordy
Hopefully and really importantly of course also , Brooks provides that vital improvement at 6 . to make it a bit easier on the coaching front

The modern coach needs to be innovative, flexible and be a very good communicator, getting to know his players well and understanding what is necessary to get into their heads so as to get them focussed. Ennis is certainly a good communicator and was a full on competitor, two qualities I'd like to see in all of our players. So his appointment is a tick from me. Who cares if he was a sledger having played against plenty in junior footy I can't see the big deal. Ennis knows what success is and he has achieved it on and off the field. IMO these are the most important credentials.

Specialist skills coaches who work 1-2 days a week have little to no real impact on a team's overall performance throughout the year when you consider the other major variables. Really not worth wasting breath on analysing this appointment. Having said that, on an individual level, I'm sure Crokes and GCKT in particular will pick up a couple of tricks of the trade. The real question: is Lambkin or Hales taking over attack coaching duty or are we currently negotiating with someone else?

We need more grubs.

Whamough was our best grub
Gifty was sort of a grub
Matai was sometimes a grub
Ridge was a grub most games

We need more win at all costs grubs

I like our cleanskins like Beaver and Jake, big you need a mix.
Terry Hill, Hoppa..

I think I read Hales will be the attack coach.

If he was any good someone would have kept him. Job hoppers are seldom good employees. They move along before they get found out.
It may just be a case of him finding the right role and/or head coaches working out what they want.
Also needs to complement his FOX commitments.

Slightly different dynamic from a coaching perspective with Brooks on the scene now as a half and Shu reverting back to an edge or if he very hopefully ticks the boxes to compete sufficiently there again .
May not have that much alternative , at least initially ,then to have Jake as the 13 but certainly hope some viable option can be found there sooner rather then latter .
Is Wayne Lambkin still coming in or appointed as an assistant i st grade coach ?
Seems to be a fairly capable and good level coach .
Then to be able to integrate young Gordy as best as possible into the 9 or assistant 9 role
