for anyone that bags hasler i say read the following
2003 under sharp 14th
then in comes des
2004 12th
2005 8th
2006 5th (out second week)
2007 2nd (Grand Finalist)

Id like to know how a S**t coach could achieve that.

He may not be the best in the NRL but hes in no way the worst or even middle of the road.

so with improvement like that - what do we do if we don't win the GF this year?

he is no bellamy/bennett and on the flip side no brown.

Ideally we need a second coach who is strong in attack structure/strategies and skill improvement to compliment Des.

Unfortunately our most talented attacker relied more on pure brilliance rather than coached skills.

Our best bet would be to have bozo there part time.

Let's sack Dessie and put some of the genuises on this forum at the helm as a team., they seem to know a lot more than people actually involved in the day to day running of an NRL side.

And we can make hindsight the assistant coach.

I say we keep Des and make nodd his personal rub down man so he can pass on our coaching tips during their intimate sessions.

Mate, i'm an engineer, i would **** it in just due to my superior intelligence.

However i will need some help, have you ever had any experience peeling oranges?

Yes a lot of experience at orange peeling, but  I know there will be someone on here who knows how to do it better.

There is always someone on here that knows better than the experts.

That is the whole point of the issue. Good sides have that x factor that allows them to do things that aren't coached. I know that Des coaches the team to play what is in front of them rather than to a set pattern but how many mercurial and unpredictable like players do we have on the roster???

So just who instills in Melbourne the ability to get up and play the ball so quickly?...everyone of them.  And who instills in them the ability to slow the ball carrier down in their tackles?  Having a specialist attack coach would seem to be one answer.  And please get somebody in to instill the long kicking game into our kicker.  I've bagged Des in past posts and if these two areas were addressed, then I'd be happier.  If that matters.

I cannot agree with Des having Le strange as 18th man today.  He has been one of our better performers this year and deserves a spot ahead of Mauro and IMO Williamson.

I think you should sack the person giving you the info about L'Estrange being 18th man

This rubbish coach we have has now taken us to 5 from our last 6

Le Strange was written up in today's papers as being 18th man.  Guess I shouldn't beleive what I read in the papers.

He's been named in jersey #18 just about every week he's played though.

Either it is the only jersey that is his size or Des is playing mind games with him.
