Well for mine the team looked fit, committed and as much as structure can co-exist in 9's we seemed to have reasonable shape and held it given so many young ones and so many interchanges.

we exceeded just about everybodies expectations and the team looks like it is developing a vibe.

Didn't see it I am informed he gave a passionate spray.

Yep, definitely positive signs coming out of the weekend. Sironen's ceiling of potential seems rather large.

Yep that was the key takeaway for me too - a good team vibe. And the shattering of trents nice guy image with his "passionate" half time talks.

I just wish TB had spent a couple of years (at least) playing for Manly during the 1990s, a move which Bozo was certainly keen on.

It could have curbed a lot of the unnecessary opprobrium that surrounded Barrett from 2015 onwards.

It was what I took out of the Manly matches most. Their commitment, strategies and fitness. This team was a few goals short of playing in the final. They matched every team they played against. There were teams there with the razzle dazzle like the Cowboys and Eels, and several teams with their top players leading the sides. Manly played without their half, five eighth, full back, hooker and best forward. Impressive effort. Yeh I'll give an 8. Just hope that commitment shows in the 13 a side matches

Wrapped in the way they played and seemed a very close unit . Like barrett or not he showed passion in the maroon and white of manly . A great season awaits us .

Scorecard: 7/10

Yeah, it looked like we had a style of play that he wanted them to play to, as much as you can in the 9's.
We kicked more than we have previously and when we did it seemed that we knew it was on and the chase was enthusiastic.
Defensively it looked better too although with this style of game you'll always get the one on one misses through various reasons.
The game v Parra (?) we changed up the short kickoffs a few times and again it looked like we had a plan.
A solid tournament for us, we were competitive in every game which is all we can ask.
And Barrett's half time spray showed he wants to win and instill the team ethic of "I/we've got your back".

I did notice especially with the Panthers one of my pet hates and something the ref's really needs to address ( as if!) is the moving/rolling/crawling through the ruck when tackled. The amount of times they did it against us was ridiculous and in the 9's it is even more advantageous.

My expectations were exceeded on almost every level.
9/10.
I think we were close to beating the two teams that beat us as well.

The best bit I took out of it was when they forgot they were playing a mockery mouse tournament and smashed the dragons after a Cullen kick. Lead by BJ. that was manly of old. Sure Jai Feild ran around them but for a minute they forgot where they were and remembered who they were. It was pure manly.

Yep for those 4 or 5 tackles we looked better in defence than any one all tournament.

Really dont want to be the negative one here,but - IT WAS ******9'S.
Played mostly by a bunch of guys who aren't going to be playing firsts.
I am positive we will have a better year this year ,bring on our trials.
