C'mon man I took $26 after round 2. Not that I am confident but they were actually longer odds than Manly about the comp at that stage. Ridiculous really.

I really like Anthony Don and Mansour though. Elsegood was my favourite player for a while growing up.

Yer Jack Elsegood was a beauty . I remember sitting under the sticks at the northern end of brookie back in 93 and he cut the steelers to ribbons .With the help of Mr Clifford Lyons of course .

Near their own 1/4 line it was Cliffy to Kosef - Loooong floater to Elsegood....Mundine in cover who was quick then, but the flying Jack all the way....maybe the final against Dragons to make it sweeter

Remember that well . Owen Cunningham running through a yawning gap off the hip of cliffy was pretty to watch as well.

Tuquri and sailor were a pretty powerful package. But one winger who I thought was very underrated was Chris hicks. He blossomed into a wonderful player at manly. One of my favourites

As far as combination wingers , Tom Mooney and Steve Knight went pretty well for Manly back in the day.. Bit reluctant to mention any Bronco ' Through bred ' associated wingers but the Bronco's duo of Wille Carne and Mick Hancock were pretty handy too . Shame that Jack Elesgood did not have a longer career for Manly as at his best , a great finisher and elusive winger for Manly .
