Blessed to have the Trbojevic family in our Club

The last few years have surely revealed to Jake that his training habits are leaving him well off the pace, then.

Someone who is taking up that much cap should be working to get as fit as he absolutely possibly can.
I wouldn’t have thought so considering in the hot and humid Townsville weather, after making 44 tackles, he was the player get to the ball to save the game when they were taking the winning shot, and in golden point was the one taking the run before we knocked it over, all without taking any breather throughout the game

I'd rather he spend time on the bench and run with a bit more power with the ball in hand. He used to make 10 metres just about every hit up, even with three defenders hanging off him. I'd love a bit more of that Jake

Yeah never would’ve questioned Jake’s fitness and professionalism. You don’t get picked as nsw captain if you’re not leading by example.

The trouble is when you occupy 900K of the cap the expectations are understandably high regardless of who you are. However our cap is so messed up that 300K over the mark for Jake is just a small part of our cap problem. We are paying far too much for for a number of players. Our big money players should be in the spine and the rest of the squad built around that. That formula works well for Melbourne. IMO we spend far too much on retention. The spine should take up a total of between 3.5 to 4 Mill. I reckon 2 x 1 MIllion, 2 x 750, then 2 x 650, 4 x 500-, 4 x 350, 4 x 250 (that's the top 18 totaling $9,300,000) and then the remaining 2.1 million or thereabouts on the remaining 12 players at an average of 175K however a number of players would be on the minimum wage. That would take us to the minimum cap of $11,400,000 and the maximum cap is actually $11,800,000.

Manly's spine is well below that.
At least based on 'reports' which as we know are all guestimates or dubious numbers leaked (typically by agents) for whatever purpose so you never know for sure.
Eg DCE 850, Turbo 1.1m, Brooks 650, Croker 400
