This is a photo of Brookie taken today (19/2/19) two days after the rugby match. The photo was taken with an ageing I-phone and is not enhanced in any way. To my untrained eye the oval looks in very good condition. I can't understand why the match with the Sharks was transferred, unless it was for nefarious reasons.View attachment 10715

You'd have to get on it and see it close up. Funnily enough with a bit of distance grass will look green but when you get on it what looks nice and lush can actually be pretty **** house...

There was a punch up one day in the 90s at NSO, a Manly supporter and a couple of his mates decided to p!ss on the fig tree tree whilest giving it to the bears supporters, funny stuff indeed.

The Council may have taken a leaf out of the ACT Government's handbook. In the lead up to the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the stadium did not meet IOC standards and in an attempt to disguise the extent of the fiasco, the then ACT Chief Minister Kate Carnell spray painted the grass green!

Should also note that all local fields were closed this weekend bar one or two because of rain this week
