They're all over him. He needs to stand back further and we also need to get him over the left side with brooks in attack for a 1 on 1 with Galvin. No way Galvin stops a rampaging ola

That is the biggest complaint we always seem to have about Haumole. He's forever getting the ball flat footed instead of running onto it.

He could be just as damaging a runner as T-Rex was when he was "on" ... if only he'd actually get deeper and run onto the damn ball.

It’s a high quality game and the Dogs have brought their best in the rushing defence, which is controlling territory. We’ve been very good, missing less tackles than Canterbury. 18/21 completions from us is excellent.

My only concern is the Dogs have a clear tactic of shifting the ball around to get out of yardage and it’s working. The only way to offset this, is to be more aggressive and less passive in defence. I can see the middles are getting up hard but once the ball gets outside them, the edges are back-pedalling. We need to get up on the edges and turn them back inside.
We also need to offload more. Lodges offload was beautiful

It's not the dropped ball, it's all the farking offloads
The offloads more than anything is what’s killing us.

BUT

The good thing is Manly of previous years would have given up and it would be 24-0 by now.

They’ve scored ONE decent try and only after massive leg ups in possession.

The other , our **** up.

This games not over yet , and unlike our mate Soupy ( who can’t see ANY positive ) I think we are going pretty well , remember it’s away , big crowd against us , and Ashley Klown.

As long as they don’t run away with it I’ll be happy even if it’s a loss.

Note the amount of times that the ref calls held and Bulldogs defenders continue to push the attacking player back 5 metres or more. And not getting penalized for it.

We are bumbling and fumbling through this, competing well, but not throwing much at them. And now our defense is getting scrappy and loose

Turbo to the back, to have any chance we need him with his hands on the ball
We burned a lot of energy with some terrific defence. I hope we can dig deep and DCE and Brooksy can find some gaps to put Mole and Turbo and Burbo and Kuala through

really needed to kick the goal

we need to change our tactics in the second half, that wasn’t it

we were dominated big time in that first half, made like 20m per set with wingers taking hit ups and getting smashed and pushed back
Dogs were 21/22 Soup, we’ve not been that bad apart from a Saab drop and some pretty sub par 5th tackle kicks. This is a finals like game.

💯 I don’t understand why he is always flat footed. He’d be so hard to stop if he just charged at the line.

Agree he's not quick enough off the mark plus it makes no sense from a physics perspective, might need a mirror too.

To be fair I thought we were doing a bit of that too, I was expecting us to get penalised though but Klein kept the whistle in hi pocket
