Match Stats

I’m sure this will come across as hyberbole but I’m telling gods honest truth, I’ve watched every manly game all the way through to FT since becoming a fan, and tonight is the first night I’ve turned it off before FT. I’m sickened. I don’t want to see or hear a thing about RL for a few days. I’m so disillusioned by this club it’s unhealthy.
💯
Season over, and what more can we say.
Silvertails is still great, but our team is... not. And the club is spiralling downwards.

Dogs get 3 in every tackle, wait till the player's momentum is stopped, then push him 5m backwards (regardless of whether held is called)
They sprint up in defence all game, which shows impressive fitness. Their kick chase could be competition best. Their kick returns are full speed straight ahead which gives them an extra 5-10m head start.
add Burton's boot... simple but highly effective way to play
If Manly had been as good with possession and discipline as we were last week we would have been in the game far longer, in fact probably till the end. But anything less than that is almost impossible to hold out.

Game was a major disappointment but credit to Dogs, they've come a long way in the last 2 seasons. Manly is still a way off.

Any chance we can try Hart or Navale next week? Need a new forward now Haumole is out.

Toughen up Bomb, we’ve dished up worse than that that I’ve sat through!

Injuries:

Manly forward, Haumole Olakau'atu's season is likely over after he dislocated his shoulder for the second time in six weeks on Sunday afternoon.

The back-rower was playing his first game since dislocating his shoulder in Round 15 but lasted just 43 minutes before reinjuring the joint in his side's loss to the Bulldogs.

Talking post-game, coach Anthony Seibold conceded Olakau'atu won't play again this year, with surgery a likely outcome.

"Our medical staff said to Haumole and myself when you dislocate your shoulder the first time there's around a 90% risk that you'll do it again," Seibold said.

"We wanted to take that risk. He had six weeks conditioning and trained fully for the last two weeks. He just got his shoulder in an awkward position.

"I would expect he will have an operation when appropriate. We won't see him again this year."

Olakau'atu's injury happened on almost the same patch of grass at Allianz Stadium that Melbourne halfback Jahrome Hughes dislocated his shoulder on Thursday night.

Perfect example of what good coaching looks like and what bad coaching looks like.
This team was coached to be aggressive when they’re not usually like that, don’t generally have the players for that, & sacrificed scoring points to be aggressive early. Manly didn’t look like scoring points the whole game……..that’s bad coaching.

Any team who wants to be in the top 8 needs to not buy by DCE. Manly learnt this lesson way too late, and any team that wants him is deliberately ignoring weekly proof.

I only get to a 2-3 games a year, life is busy.

Went yesterday.

Honestly, Manly, or NSW, I can't remember the last game I went to where I tasted victory....feels like 5 years.

I'm giving match day attendance a rest for the sake of everyone.

Can't help thinking back to the end of last season - Manly beat the Dogs with a great play but the Dogs had been applying the pressure all game and the win was a great escape by Manly.
This season Dogs have been front-runners all year while Manly has (yeah we all know)

Dogs team for last year's final was almost identical to yesterday's. Manly was missing Paseka, Croker, Lawton, Brown, Aloia, and Haumole was gone after 42m. (At which time the score was 4-12)
6 forwards missing from the team that beat the Dogs on last outing.

Injuries and other stuff have clearly disrupted Manly's campaign this season, but the other problem is that aside from Paseka and Haumole hopefully making full recoveries, those other missing forwards from last year's win are not the future solution.

Ha - i hear you.

The last three games i have been to live was Roosters semi-final last year, Origin game 3 and yesterday

The only good part of today is only have to suffer through 6 more games of the $ Chaser fraud.
Did you see him celebrate the 40/20? Its all about him, its always been about him. Disregard the 48 failed attempts before this one. God I hate him.
