I don't know how you watch that game on Saturday and come anywhere close to that opinion.

Funnily enough, playing players out of position doesn't help them! Ben is a second rower, and Waddell is a middle. That's it.

His defence has certainly got more sting in it but for me, the main thing is he had this habit of running to the line but then taking a J curve before he hit the line. So they easily picked him off going sideways.
He has beefed up and is now just ripping in straight.
He is also regularly there to back up a high kick or break. He's shown great determination.

Running a nice line too, although he always showed that he had that ability when he was playing out of position in the centres…
