Totally agree Susan. There has to be at least two Toyota cup and two nsw cup centres about. I hate makeshift centres - cruels the defense on that side.

Whare and Taufua are both centres by trade. We'd be looking for wingers. Oldfield would be one. I haven't seen enough lower grade games in the later stages of the season to comment on who has the form to be the other.

Not so sure Duff. In the modern game wingers are possibly even more important than centres, not so much in attack but for their positional play in defence. At least a rookie centre has a teammate on either side of him for support?

edit - though I agree Whare is actually a centre not a winger, he can take one spot if needed

Yep they do. The only choices we have are Oldfield,Whare,Taufua. The others are Farrar,Matai,Wolf,Lyon. We are going to have to use Buhrer,Liam or T Dog out wide no choice if we lose both. In fact our entire first choice backline could be out. Wolf and Farrar wingers Lyon Matai centers. This is worse than 2010.

Please explain to me then how teams use more than 25 players in a season if they have to be in the top 25?

If its a winger the bloke can expect to be bombed all night so he should be picked with that in mind.

I thought that was just a salary cap issue? I hope T Rex doesn't get a recall to the centres I'm still getting counselling from the last time he played there.

He did say to me back in June he was a chance of coming back during the finals, so don't laugh, maybe he IS ok now?!

Many clubs use 30 players plus per year -their is no requirement at all they be in the top 25 otheriwise a team with 9 injuries couldnt field a side.You can use as many players as you like but there are salary cap restrictions come into play when the club is really wounded and not sure how we stand in that regard.

Anyway the point being,if it is possible then select a specialist and not go with something(Buhrer) that has been an abject failure each and every time.We are up against the best organiser in the world next week.

NSW cup centres are revolving doors in defence at that level - can you imagine what Tate would do to them. Other than Oldfield replacements would need to come from Toyota cup probably Gutherson.

There is some attraction for me having taufua,trex and chock running on the left off kieran. Rocks or diamonds, but could pay dividends.

I think option A will minimise the disruption to the team.

Agreed, at least for the first 60 if he cant manage a whole match.

If no Killer, then Whare on right centre, TRex on Left with defensive help, promises and pacts from Foz, Jorge cant catch high ball, but he CAN run hard, tackle hard, but needs to stay out on wing.
I just deplore the mormons for what they stole from us.

I would use Centres to replace Centres.

Although, you can nearly guarantee players will be pushed from the inside out. Foran, T-rex, Gift and Buhrer would all be candidates.
