Seriously Ned, Des left us in 2011 and it is now 2018. You cannot possibly blame him even slightly for our current predicament........sheesh........

Hmm or can I? Des backended Watmough's deal that gets us to 2015. That contributed to Gifty being forced out and (in part) caused a rift between the players and Tooves. Where we end up with players walking out or unhappy players staying and the team spirit suffering. Then Tooves gets the chop and Barret comes, because of all the unrest we have a severe lack of depth and not much ability to recruit so a couple of injuries pop up to key players and we're screwed.

Now, let me be clear. I'm not pinning this all on Des or saying he's terrible or anything like that, he was doing his best to put the best team on the field he could at the time, however it has contributed to where we are now. That's the thing about back ended contracts, you don't see the damage until a few years later.
