Three Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players have today been named in the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII squad to take on PNG PM’s XIII team.

Pretty concerning he hasn't been extended when we've already re-signed guys like Aloiai, Brown and Waddell on longer term deals

Really hope something is in the works because for mine he is our only middle that actually fits the speed of the modern game, unlike some of the other slugs on our roster. Well-deserved callups for him and Brooks though, and a good experience for Garrick as well

That would be a massive loss. He has improved our fitness big time which was a huge part of breaking that cluster of teams and making finals.

If want to keep improving can't be starting over again in the fitness department.

Whilst I agree he has improved the clubs fitness,they did seem a bit cooked over the last 4-5 games.DCE’s was well down on his usual high level of endurance by seasons end,but age and another gruelling Origin campaign would probably be the reason there

There is certainly going to be more Manly players in the Tongan team than the Kangaroos team, which is very interesting. Hoppa will probably get the fullback spot for them.

They are both no spring chickens any more....

Re being fresh come the finals. Our team needing to win so manly games in a row, just to make finals, I reckon that took it's toll as well and mentally fatigued the players more than anything.

The team made big gains in 2024, but I still would NOT say our group have that hardened, composed mindset yet. The best teams just don't get out to big leads and find ways to to get rolled like we did against Canberra this year.

On a positive note, the number of diabolical collapses greatly decreased.

Plenty that needs to improve.

Jake playing for near 80 mins a game. And playing him every game. It is just a team way to dependant on one man to defend.

Congrats to the Tongan reps.
So, 4 for Tonga, 1 for Kangaroos and 3 for PMs 13. Add Jake and DCE who played Origin.
That makes 10 current rep players, a reasonable reflection of a fairly strong season.

Tonga are my 2nd Team behind Australia. All 4 players will be better for the experience. I just hope the injury gods are kind to us.
