I really hope the squad haven't turned on DCE the way that we have, because they really need to have an excellent game to win this one.
Who are the we that turned on DCE ?
Perhaps You and a Few on this forum
At the Ground where there are thousands of supporters no one Boos at DCE
This DCE Hate is Hyped by the few on here

How far away is Aloiai? We actually need him back. Man I never thought I’d say that!

Round 12 apparently.

Tom to score plenty in a stunning turn around of form. Picked for origin. Plays 2 games then has a season ending injury in the first few minutes of origin 3.
That sounds about right, however, I would have picked Tom's season ending injury to occur in the first few minutes of Game 1.

In hindsight, I'm not reading too significantly into our last losses, aside from the Melbourne loss. We have dished out some utter crap against the Sharks and the Dragons in recent years, and it just happened that 3/4 of our last games were against them. Also had some garbage scheduling, and the DCE leaving novelty.

We will be better against the Cowboys. They physically cannot roll through us without Taumalolo. We will still have long term structural problems, but we beat them with a similar pack up there last year. Cotter isn't as strong this year either.

What interests me, is that both Purdue and Duffy have been given the opportunity to debut in the halves against us. As a Manly fan, I hope it goes the same way for Purdue as it did for Duffy, but as a Fantasy player, exact opposite lol.

I think Walsh plays next week. Judging by tonight, he'll be up against a Moses-less Eels. High probability that they don't have Lomax either, unless Turbo has an (unlikely) blinder.

Cotter not playing as well.

Well, I'd be happy to have no bye's at all after coming of the great Penrith win and then the bye.
Sometimes it's good to be battle hardened, rather than having a pause after a good win.

Agree, and I'm expecting them to step up as it's in their best interests to, particularly with origin teams being named after this round. They've both publicly said they still want to play origin so you'd think they'll want to put in a much better performance than their last game. (Not that I agree for different reasons with them still playing origin at all).

In Turbo's case he'll want to play well to prove his fitness, which will be interesting.
On present form, Turbo is unlikely to play origin

Hate is a bit strong. Footy has always been powered by the loyalty and passion of temperamental fan bases, all of them craving success with expectations that the coaching staff will improve the team and deliver consistency. When a team does not achieve that year on year improvement towards excellence the supporters will eventually demand change. The buck has always stopped with the coach.

That's rugby league as it ever was.

That's all it is.

Yes, he didn't make the horrific amount of mistakes in the first half against the Sharks (who are heading upwards on the ladder). We made improvements in our attack but couldn't sustain it.
They need to start well against the Cowboys and then defend their lead as the latter make their typical attacking plays.

Round 12 apparently.

Wow, now Croker due back round 14, that's over half the season gone.
Paseka is listed as Round 25, anyone know if that is a realistic possibility or just a pipe dream to keep Manly fans interested?

Best of luck today Silvertails
This years matches are won on momentum.
Show up with heart and grunt and they will be able to knock over the Cowboys, they do not have a good record against Manly in Townsville
Look forward to it, Manly to win for me

If we decide to take it through the middle of their pack I think we’ll get on top and win well. If we try throw it round early we’ll get done.

Heart and grunt are two things we haven't seen much from Manly this season. You'll only see that in your Doggies games🙂
Need to get some old school Manly legends in the sheds to fire them up
I've seen Terry Lamb in the sheds with the Dogs addressing them
Need Cliffy or Choc in there
And most importantly be proud of the club your wearing

I can see the game going either two ways.

DCE to have a blinder to cement his spot in origin giving us a good win.

DCE just to go through the motions and we get embarrassed, if this is the case the sooner he heads off to Easts the better.

The Doggies have recruited to achieve that mindset, by the types of player they want.
They openly wanted the dogs of war.

Sadly we on the other hand have gone the other way and prefer the pretty plays, but we haven't looked like a unit for a long time, we rely in individual brilliance, the Dogs are a team
