great players…….but have stifled us because we have all 3
Big money, important poisitions
Jake ….not a prop anymore. Too much link man but not a good 13. Great D but shoes of concrete
frog…gutsy, serviceable but just lacks any kind of pizzaz . great D but shoes of concrete
chez….stylish , unbelievable number 2 but wants all that comes with number 1 . poor D but feet so nimble he hasnt been tackled 2012

All great players but none of them really cover all the bases in the positions they play well enough despite being very good in other areas. Compounding this is that they all play ball in the important ruck areas and they all kind of fall short in that area

That led to the birth of the Turbo Sea Eagles where effort, thought, game play, and execution, were outsourced to the Tall fullback with few words

Then we broke him

Now we need a rebuild about how we play footy.

A great running attacking player in his own right. But he's impacted a couple of games this season. He's not half the player he once was.

He's never been a player willing to engage the line and be tackled so as to advantage his outside men. That's the reason he's never been tackled since 2012.. He's just never had the type of game toughness of other 6 or 7 think Foz, Thurston, Cronk. Part of what made them great was the positions they put their bodies, The Turtle that never been part of his game. Never.

Not sure I'd ever have Froggy Croker in the same postcode as Jake and Cherry when it comes to talent or salary. I mean, if he's cost us more than $2.50 a week since he became our starting hooker, we've overpaid. So from a financial point of view, I don't think his contract has been an issue. And from a playing point of view, "shoes of concrete" perfectly sums him up.

yes, DCE looks fresh despite playing for years. He never gets banged up. Always passes the ball for others to get smashed. At 37, he looks much younger, almost like a young Olympic artistic ice skater (Torville & Dean) -lol

The thing is, dce does have it in him. You see it 1 to 3 games a year like last week against the storm. He uses the shoulder in tackles and runs more. He may even get involved in a small dust up. His game management is on point.

The problem is the amount of games a year that I mentioned. The remainder of games is a mash of brilliance and bone head.
