May seem like a dumb question, but how long has the toxic environment existed? Since 2008? Maybe earlier? Or is this a brand new toxic environment that has no relationship to all the previous toxic environments?
If there has been a long term problem then it can't be too hard to work out where it comes from. Most employees have been sacked or moved on, so there must be very few people who have been continuously involved with club for that whole time. Very few. Maybe they have something to do with it?
Do you mean the Uriah Heep* of the Sea Eagles?

*Except for the 'umble part. Our Uriah has never been particularly 'umble.

On a serious note, what has M-W got to show for its decades of success, netting eight FG premierships along the way?

Not much. A leagues club that is on its way to becoming a co-tenant with a bowls club. A football ground that falls further behind other Sydney venues, whilst the owners, the Council and the NSW Government 'fiddle.'

It's a complex problem with no easy answers. However there is little chance that they can survive and prosper long term, if certain changes aren't made. Starting with some surety that the CEO can make decisions, that might not be popular with some, and not lose their job as a consequence.

Starting point for securing Manly's future has to be persuading the govt to set up a state trust to take over administration of Brookie, to make it into a modern boutique stadium for events north of the harbour (regardless of who is CEO at any particular time of day).

It says "premiership success". They won the premiership in 2012/13 (finished first) but not the championship (winning GF).

Cronulla finished 3rd last year in the Premiership so they didn't have "premiership success" in 2016?

You're preaching to the converted. However I do note that more than $20 million is sitting in a bank somewhere. So would it be too much to ask that the Council puts out a tender for a new scoreboard? Or a completely new all-weather surface?

At least (in theory) the Lottoland money is going towards ground maintenance.

Whoever takes this role, has to have a phd in conflict resolution. the culture seems like to be. That the more things change, the more they stay the same. What is needed is professionalism and people who put the club first.

Cue David Perry, oh sorry maybe not!

I was thinking the same thing SER8. Toxic env is situation normal at Manly.... and for some reason it doesn't seem to be too much of a problem. It might help galvanise the team. Maybe part of Bozo's crazy master plan. That why he has so many family member in the place. Keep the toxicity up to keep on winning.
