I'd say D-day for the rlpa as well.
I'm really torn on this, I see both sides.
My mind always turns to how things could be manipulated. So taking an extreme example, let's say we make the GF, and some idiot (and I know this is extreme but the world is full of idiots), makes an accusation against Tommy T (or someone who has the ability to turn the GF in our favor).....is he stood down and misses the chance of a lifetime? And it comes out a month later this was a spurious allegation by some moron? Or to be stood down does there need to be more evidence?
I know people will say well it would need to be where someone is charged. Brett Stewart was charged.....and those allegations turned out to be utter tripe. And how long did that case go on for? So is he then stood down for 12-18months? Sure he still gets paid....I just don't like it.

Ours. Without Walker backline will struggle hugely.Leaving out his issues he is a serious player and he lifts the team. Pedestrian without him with very little points in them.Basically all opposition needs to do out wide is watch Tommy. One of the reasons Tommy makes errors is because he feels everything is up to him in attack ( look at games when Walker didn’t play last year). If both centres gone this year it will be just the same unles Garrick is a star.Big ask.
Same thing happened to DCE last year without a five eight. Easy to isolate.

When you have punishments, handed down by the 'discretion' of one individual, especially an individual like greenturd, it muddies the waters.
Similar, but way more important, to sports in the Olympics that are decided by judges aside from 1st across the line, which are visible and transparent, this type of judgement and decision making is open to all sorts of corruption.
Most of us, and I mean the overwhelming majority of league supporters across all clubs, don't trust the turdburger to make a decision on play the balls let alone something of this importance.

I am with you on this ,we will struggle .But in all honesty ,Has Walker given us ONE full year of good play since he has been here ?
We are a lesser side without him ,but if we are pinning our hopes on Walker to get us in the Eight ,we have no hope.
The guy hasnt had ONE full great year with us yet !
With his injuries ,inconsistencies,brain farts and playing out of position ,His good games are too far and few between.
I much rather hope we flick him or NRL stands him down and we get 400k compensation for a lesser skilled but more consistent player.
Having Walker playing for us this year with his court case looming over him and opposition players in his ear baiting him as a wife beater ,I dont expect much at all from him again.
I bet we could get Fonua out of Tigers with their stacked backline and salary cap problems.
Even an aging Don who cant get a run at Titans would fill in for now.
Not too stoked on the still persistent rumour of M Jennings from Parra.

Plus his demonstrated lack of self control will be exploited by opponents' sledges each and every game . We won't get 100% from Walker under all this stress IMO
Walker has always prioritised his ego to the detriment of focusing on helping his team win a game 😡

When I first read the De Belin charges my emotional reaction was to think that this man can not be allowed to play. Replacing the emotions with logic and of course remembering the psychological and physical toll on Snake - innocent within 45 minutes of jury discussion - rarely is such a decision so incredibly fast, proving the whole thing was a load of shyte witch hunt.
Any of these men could actually be innocent and this needs to be determined by the courts. The decision makers in the game who are trying to protect the game's public image could be ruining young mens' lives.
It opens up a can of worms for disgruntled women (or fathers) to repeat the Snake case.
If a court finds them guilty then stand the down. Ban them from the game. But wait for the court decision.
If the decision today is to stand down an idiot like Walker while 'the reformed' Matt Lodge is now generating positive articles at the Broncos, it's just plain ridiculous.
This game is on a serious slide.

Look I agree he has his moments and to be honest I’m very concerned about his overall behaviour etc. I am talking with respect to this years team. Last year Kelly I thought was better than just solid. Take out Walker as well and you get a mix of

People forget walker was Centre of Year in 2017 and shines out like a beacon when compared to the guys above. Hoppa not in mix for quite a while also.That backline just won’t get the job done especially given our issues at 5/8.Not one would be guaranteed a spot in another NRL side.Agree with most of what you said otherwise.

If these assclowns at nrl hand down this banning rule then how utterly hypocritical it will be that there are criminally convicted players out there i.e Lodge, Packer, AFB and others playing the game while JDB, Walker and others get stood down without conviction but awaiting court proceedings.

Surely the clubs will fight back... St George have already made their intentions clear... The players association isn’t just going to bend over here either I wouldn’t think. This decision won’t improve his popularity... if it goes to court... Todd and his lilttle side kick might finally be shoved out the door.
