I think it is very very unlikely Des will ever be a head coach in the NRL again. Especially if Josh Hannah makes an immediate impact. Des will likely still do alright coaching in the English super league. Hopefully he is at some point in the future offered/ takes up some kind of support role at Manly.

I too would like to see Des involved in some way at Manly again. I think he was Manly’s greatest coach to date, on top of being a great player.

If this is it for Des, well done to a Manly legend. The architect for our greatest ever moment, 40-0. In my opinion, in the top 3 Manly legends with Arko and Bozo.
