Development squad

Looking through all the development squads across NRL, we are one of few clubs to name the full six contingent.

And the only club that has all six (except for Miski) on two-year deals. Most clubs have development players on one-year deals.

I love our approach. Creates confidence in that squad, time to develop them and locks in young talent.

Surprised to see Miski and Anderson still there, and no Sione Fainu.

I expect one or two changes to that six, by pre-season end.

Very good point regarding 2 year deals. Good to see we are committed to investing and building a squad for the future and not just taking 1 year punts which may or may not work out. Less revolving doors and more time to strengthen the culture.

Could also be that we have a collection there of some of the best junior talent around at the moment. 2 year contracts mean those kids cant be easily snared by the favoured clubs of the league. Meanwhile Parramatta continues to leak junior talent.
