Direct Power game!!

First Grader
Smashed those worms in that middle third.
There was none of this auto shifts in the opposition 20m line....was all about playing through them.
Really see this blue print hard to stop.
After getting on the front foot, usually go wide but today was simply a power game that worked to perfection.
Still a way to go , but on the back of gritty defence....just to take them on unrelenting up the middle was great to watch and paid big dividends.
Apart from the Taufua try I think the rest were on the back of power plays rolling through the middle off quick play the balls.

That’s the best way to play the game these days, it’s so hard to score on a shift against the best defences. Also, we keep those edge backrowers fresh and use the backs to cart the ball up out of trouble. I think it’s a great scheme.

How good was perret and Hastings for an extra injection of energy! Lussick back next week, looks like we have the privilege of easing him in

I think Hastings was bloody great.
He brought great enthusiasm and creativity.
So good to know if Api needs a breather or a half goes down, we have a genuine sub ready to go.
If Brown plays another game of first grade I will be stunned.

Big, strong, powerful and angry. Every side should fear our big boys.

Worked today and will work a lot this year but you need to have a plan B otherwise coaches will prepare for this and start to find chinks in the armour.
Not sure Siebold has the know how or the forwards to counter act it next week. Only fatigue and pinkos with Turdy orders will change the inevitable for Souffs

Yeah, that’s it Mick. The Rabbits don’t have the big men to stop us. Tom Burgess was good yesterday, but for the vermin to be any chance whatsoever next week, then all three Burgi will have to have the best games they’ve had in years... consecutively.

I'm a bit worried that the combination of Parra playing in the heat last week and warming up for half an hour in 40 degree heat today may have really sapped them.

We could be lulled in to a false sense of security if we aren't careful.
Fortunately for us, Souths warmed up and played in excessive heat yesterday as well.

I'll be on a plane for the game next week. Hopefully everything goes well and things don't go into meltdown as I wont be in a position to fix it for a while.

The entire team I think should have 2 days of recovery sessions before resuming training. Beach and ice baths tomorrow, the whole team will be spent but the forwards even more so

I haven't looked at any stats but our ball control, which was a worry to me, seemed to be outstanding especially considering the amount of offloads we got away.
We must be on top in that department.
