From the 'NRL 2025, Injuries, Suspension Return Dates, Casualty Ward and Key Information for the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

* * * (Updated: Tuesday, 26 August 2025) * * *

Manly forward Jake Trbojevic is set to sit out the remainder of the regular season as he continues to recover from a concussion.

Trbojevic suffered his third concussion in the past four months in the Sea Eagles' Round 23 loss to the Raiders and club medical staff have taken a cautious approach with his recovery.

Coach Anthony Seibold said on Friday that the lock will not play again in the regular season. With Manly at long odds to play finals this season, that means
Trbojevic is set to make his club return in 2026.

In more positive news, Seibold expects
Taniela Paseka to be available for Round 27 as he approaches a return from an Achilles rupture.

Manly Sea Eagles
  • Reuben Garrick (Shoulder, TBC)
  • Lachlan Croker (Concussion, TBC)
  • Josh Aloiai (Shoulder, TBC)
  • Taniela Paseka (Achilles, Round 27)
  • Jake Trbojevic (Concussion, 2026)
  • Nathan Brown(Biceps, Finals)
  • Haumole Olakau'atu (Shoulder, 2026)

Also, from the Official NRL Casualty Ward & Injury Information, Manly hub page, there are slight variations to the information regarding the unavailable or injured players and their return periods:
  • Taniela Paseka (Achilles, Round 27)
  • Josh Aloiai (Shoulder, TBC)
  • Lachlan Croker (Concussion, TBC)

2 teams out of the running. Hopefully see some entertaining attack, can't imagine it will be a dour performance from either side.
Anyhow, Go Manly. An interminable off-season looms, bugger!

Just imagine this place for the next 6 months , I might need a sabbatical .
The comments on ST over the next 6 to 12 months will just be variations of the general themes of the comments below
  • Seibold needs to go and should be replaced by coach XXX
  • Penn sucks ass
  • Our forwards are crap
  • We need to invest and develop youth
  • We need to sign player XXX
  • Urbos are not worth what we are paying
  • We're fxcked 2026 is going to be awful
  • Penn sucks ass
  • Penn sucks ass
  • Seibold needs to go.

Nailed it

Guess that it is mainly going to come down to the pride and professionalism factor to put on a decent show tonight
Turbo no doubt a bit of incentive to impress rep selectors but apart from D C E and his unpredictable approach for a good part of the season , think the rest of the side will still be committed to put in with a competitive attitude
Hopefully to continue with that bright attacking approach from last week but knowing full well that the defence has to be up to scratch as well
Sure that on home territory and Gutho and Cook likely leading the way as usual , Dragons won't go in with a slack attitude and if Manly are only slightly off attitude wise ,won't be an easy time for them

Other than for personal pride neither side will give a ****.

I think the Dragons will have personal pride , most league players do.

Our Captain doesn’t give a flying **** and I’m afraid his attitude has spread to quite a few in the team , and you only need a small percentage difference in teams to see one wiped off the floor.

Nothing to play for , no one is putting their body’s on the line tonight

Yeah but that's where our creativity comes in. So many different ways to say those things.

I’m on Manly 13 plus with a 5 try multi! F$&@ it, the need to throw it around today to be any chance, and imagine St G will do the same. It won’t be close either way similar to last week. Hope we are on the winning end of it, but not at all confident. Have a feeling we get lapped this arvo then we belt Warriors at home.

Yes - nailed it

That's a mixed bag of allsorts Waz, but you've summed up the team and our season of discontent

Imagine if we had managed to beat last place, or not throw away a 16 point lead against second last?

These are the questions I stay up at night thinking about.

One thing I do know is today would’ve been a big game, but it’s not so what can ya do. On a positive note, it’s kinda nice watching this team without the stress of results having meaning. Not as painful when you get drawn the 2/10 performance, and a bit of fun when you get drawn the 8/10. Because it truly is always a mystery with this team.

After next week we’ve got about 6 months until we get to cheer this side on again, or complain about the coach. Let’s enjoy these last 2 and much like last week, I’m just hoping to see any positives and get that winning feeling 🤷‍♂️ 🦅
