Let's just forget for a minute that there is a salary cap. If you could put together your NRL Dream Team for 2015 what would it look like and how many Manly players do you think would make it * ?? I'm discounting Burgess, SBW, and Te'o as they are off to rugby.
I'd go
Snake - best in the business as far as all round game is concerned
Mansour - this guy is a metre eating machine and good finisher
Killer - all class
Hurrell - hard to stop and getting better with experience
Hayne - not a fan of his consistency (or lack of) but when "on" he is hard to leave out
Thurston - quality
DCE - behind a good pack and with other attacking options for the defence to consider he would shine
Scott - proven performer
Smith - obviously not a fan favourite outside of Melbourne, but he is streets ahead of any other dummy half.
G Burgess - Plenty of impact from this big unit. May well turn out to be as good as Sam
Taumololo - hard fringe runner who is on the improve
Cordner - one of the best edge forwards going around
Gallen - high workrate and can play middle or edge
Graham - another strong high workrate prop
Parker - can cover front row and lock and has good second phase options
Bromwich - up and comer with plenty of grunt
Bird - best utility forward in the comp.
A couple of others that have impressed me this year are Josh Jackson, Ben Matulino and Dale Copley.
* True supporter award goes to the first person to name Manly 1-17
