Dylan Walker Injury

He is a pretty special player. Was clearly injured for half the year best of luck champ. You are a favourite of mine.
Funa Parkerand Wright just got a whole lot more serious about this years pre-season.

I was talking to a former Aussie captain who played in one of these matches years ago.

He was injured and sent o hospital with a leg injury.

He said the doctor spent two hours looking for a thermometer before agreeing to look at his leg.

I grew up in PNG so I love the place :inlove:

But one term I came back from boarding school half dead.
So we went to the hospital (shed) in Boroko from the airport.
The Doctor dropped the hypodermic needle on the dirt floor and picked it up to continue to inject me 😱

Dad almost decked him and Mum almost fainted.
So we left and I'm still alive :whew:

Kelly and Parker i would think
Didn't Parker do his ACL, he likely won't be available unfortunately. If Walker doesn't make it to rd 1 (he should make it), than Kelly and Tom Wright/Matt Wright may be our opening centres. Not a terrible result considering although disappointing.

Hoping Walker injury is fine, he was noticeably injured throughout the back-end of the year, at least we have the off season to heal his wounds.. hopefully in time

Man is never firing on all cylinders in Rd 1 any way. Even when all players are on deck. We slowly work our way into it, you could say;-)

No Parker had an operation to repair a meniscus tear in August. The expected rehab time was 4-6 weeks.

I would get him on a plane asap and back here for care and rehabilitation, lovely place and people PNG but would want to be anywhere near their hospitals.

No ACL for Parker, it was a ligament issue 4-6 weeks

Well, on the bright side, I'm betting if he was talking to The Bunnies about a return, that ain't gonna happen now, and he'll be an Eagle for life. He's young, he'll come back really early on nice and strong.

Not good.

I suppose the upside in a situation like this is someone (or more than one player) from the 20's or reserves gets to fill the role in the pre-season. This is good for Manly and forces us to look for depth... Hopefully a star is born!

Or if you don't want to go backwards through that period, and sanke is spot on about Moylan (which I don't doubt), Moylan to centres, one of Cullen or Hastings to 5/8?

He's already shut that rumour down heavily on his instagram
