The Parramatta Eels today officially opened the $70m Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence (COE) and Kellyville Memorial Park Community Centre, the largest rugby league training precinct in the world.

The Parramatta Eels today officially opened the $70m Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence (COE) and Kellyville Memorial Park Community Centre, the largest rugby league training precinct in the world, marking a transformative milestone for the Club and the broader Western Sydney community.

Funded by the NSW and Australian Government, The Hills Shire Council and Parramatta Leagues Club, the precinct features five full-sized rugby league fields and is the first gender-equal elite facility in Australia with all training facilities replicated for men and women across NRL, NRLW and Elite Pathways programs.

They deserve it, they have rocketed up the ladder and now sit smugly at 2nd last (albeit only by 1 bare point of for and against: -99 to - 100 !!!!)

You gotta think this has been planned for before this week. I'd suggest they've been training for this for 2 years but we're thwarted last year by Arthur's injury. I don't think they'll have any issues.

Apropos of nothing... apparently no NRL game has ever been postponed due to weather. The last time a first grade game was postponed was 1997. No relevance of course, just a random comment.
