Match Stats

In an absolute **** show of a game, I will pull out Garrick for his defensive effort, thought he was extremely good. Tevaga always visibly puts in as well.

There was also 1 particular play in the game I loved for heart and effort in a game where those 2 factors were largely missing, and it was Nathan Brown absolutely busting his arse chasing a long break downfield, and he actually did enough to get to the halfback in the end, even though Hawkins did manage to get a very good ball away
Without Garrick's defence last night they would have put 50 on us.

I have to ask, do you guys genuinely think we turn this around at all?

Our record has been:
3-3
3-4
4-4
4-5
5-5
5-6

We just can’t quite get on top of it. Last year around this time we were actually very similar just on the other side, we kept getting 1 win ahead then losing, before eventually stringing a strong period together of 5 wins in 6 games which pushed us into that finals spot before we then got a little inconsistent again.

Last year:
5-1-5
6-1-5
6-1-6
7-1-6
7-1-7
Then we got to 12-1-8

It almost feels like this year though we’re just barely hanging onto our record, and we’ll fall away instead of pull ahead. Because it’s not even we have a narrow loss then a great win like it was last year, it’s we have a really awful loss and then still look average in parts but get home for the win the next week, then have an awful loss again. Lately we’ve almost relied on our opposition just playing worse than us to try and get our wins.

Thing is, our Origin draw aside from getting no byes before any of the Origin matches, is pretty easy. In some crazy unrealistic world where this team was consistent and played to our potential, we could’ve actually gone 6/6 during Origin or close to it. We still can get some good wins on the board, but this feels like the period that’ll set up our back end of the season. Last night has me worried we are going to throw away the majority of these easy wins, does anyone here think genuinely we can turn this around and it all comes together? Because I really don’t see it at the moment

We are the only team in the NRL to get beat by the Eels missing both Moses and Lomax. And to let in 30 to them is beyond a joke. Considering the talent still available in this squad, I can't remember a worse Manly team (maybe 2018?). What a slap in the face to all our supporters. Fck Penn. Fck Seibold. Fck these wannabe 'professional' players. The disgust is so strong that I must attempt to detach from this disgrace of a football club as best I can. My health is just not worth it anymore lol. I will probably need a Silvertails Anonymous to help cope with withdrawals. But it must be done. One day at a time
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference

I didn’t get to watch last nights game , but reading the forum this morning is a sobering task.

Close to rock bottom I’d say.
The coach's game plan was amazing last night. It will be a sad day when he is replaced by someone who can formulate something more than going sideways across the field or kicking it and hoping for a mistake.

No , personally I think the year is ****ed.

We probably won’t win the spoon , but I expect to finish 12th-14th

Sums up the game

It was on par with our worst performances this year. Don’t even watch the try scoring highlights.
But Perception is a Wonderful thing as a few on here think that Seibold is a Wonderful coach and he does not have to create any Wonders at Manly to still be called Wonderful
We are an improving team under Seibold
The only way is up under Seibold
Up the Creek without a paddle
Row, row, row your boat
Gently up the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life at Manly under Seibold is just a Dream

@Mark from Brisbane , it was appalling. I have been a firm Seibold neutral and have been trying to see the bigger picture and cut him a break recognising that the club has other issues outside of his control as well but performances like that make it very, very hard to stay neutral and look to blame someone. If you haven't watched it ..... don't. Just enjoy the Flinders Ranges.

It was an absolutely disgraceful performance and whether you like Siebold or dislike him as a coach and a person or even whether he is a good or bad coach - performaces such as the one dished up last night along with his current record over the last 2.5 years at Manly would make it very hard for any NRL Coach at any club to keep their job. Thats the bottom line.

In all fairness he is a shade better than twent

No one on here dislikes Seibold or any one at the club as a person .We dont know them personally
All we know is that our Manly is not the Great Manly it once used to be
We just take things personally when our Beloved Manly keeps losing games and keeps losing its Great Premiership winning status
We will always be loyal to our Legendary club
But never loyal to losers
Losing is not the Manly Way

Putrid, stinking performance from everyone involved including Coaches and players.

We are in a spoon window not a as our owner says a premiership window. The "we are in a premiership window" comment will age just as well as his "results driven business" comment. What an idiot. Apart from having the money he has no right to own this club. The Penn family are just driving this joint into the ground.

Seibold says we are "inconsistent".... Well FMD no shxt Sherlock....
And to think 2V's got the sack for way less s$$t performances from the squad.

I have said it for 10 years plus that we wouldn't win another title while the club has Penn as full owners and DCE at 7.

Penn's have destroyed this club we all love and don't care one bit at all about it.

We are becoming the new West tigers and I can't see anything happening good until we start to see change from the top.

Hate seeing where we are as a club right now
