Sea Eagles forward Haumole Olakau'atu has been charged with Contrary Conduct following Friday night's loss to the Eels.

The Blues squad member was released from camp to play for Manly but endured a tough night that culminated with a Grade 1 charge, his second offence of this nature.

The incident occurred in the 68th minute of the match when Olakau'atu was tackled low down by Luca Moretti and dropped his knee into the Eels prop's chest as he tried to get to his feet.

With an early guilty plea Olakau'atu will be fined $1800 but should he fight the charge and be found guilty at the panel that increases to $2500.

Sea Eagles Judiciary News:

• No Manly players were placed on report during the game.
• The Match Review Committee have determined that only the following Manly player will be charged post-match:
  • Haumole Olakau'atu (Manly)
    • Grade 1 Contrary Conduct on Luca Moretti (68 min)
    • Base penalty $1500
    • 2nd Offence
    • His options:
      Early plea - $1800
      Guilty at panel $2500

It was an absolutely disgraceful performance and whether you like Siebold or dislike him as a coach and a person or even whether he is a good or bad coach - performaces such as the one dished up last night along with his current record over the last 2.5 years at Manly would make it very hard for any NRL Coach at any club to keep their job. Thats the bottom line.

And to think 2V's got the sack for way less s$$t performances from the squad.

I have said it for 10 years plus that we wouldn't win another title while the club has Penn as full owners and DCE at 7.

Penn's have destroyed this club we all love and don't care one bit at all about it.

We are becoming the new West tigers and I can't see anything happening good until we start to see change from the top.

I actually hate the Penns.... I hate them. They are the problem..... They just don't understand that a footy club is not a profit centre it is a community / passion thing and you either own it to be competitive or you fcuken shxt and get off the pot. They have owned the joint for years now and they are just hopeless owners ......hopeless. They have led this club into a decade of abysmal failure and until they get off the pot and let someone else have a crack we're fcuked. We're just a useless moneyball club .... and no amount of @BOZO ridiculous motivational memes will change things. End rant .... 15 beers in.... Peace.
