'Very drunk' Fittler attracts police attention
Queensland police say they had to assist a "very drunk" Sydney Roosters coach Brad Fittler to his hotel room early Friday morning after complaints from a female guest.
Police say the woman called them about 3:00am (AEST) yesterday saying there was a man with no shirt trying to enter her hotel room in Townsville.
When police got to the hotel they found Fittler, who could not find his room.
Police took him to the correct room on the right floor and did not lay any charges.
Sydney Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce is going to Townsville to investigate the incident.
The Roosters are playing the North Queensland Cowboys at Dairy Farmers Stadium tonight.
