Whilst I agree Koula is the priority,Manly dont need to compete with the likes RA or Union in general.He had his best year this season and was arguably one of the best centres in the comp,yet Manly still missed the finals.This tells you all you need to know about the impact centres have in the game.Manly aren’t going to match what Union could throw at him,despite their $$ situation,domestically.

What??? Can you imagine Koula behind a seriously good pack? You say Centres are not impact? He’s been amazing behind a weakened pack. I guess we go with Wilson & Faulalo as our centres & let Koula go…..

He clearly states he is a priority which we all agree on.

It all comes down to what genuine offers he gets elsewhere.

Like if 360 offered him 1.2mil I'd be spewing but he'd have to go.

Shibasaki and Staggs had their best seasons too. 2 good quality centres are bloody important. Something we haven't for years

But they also had more important positioned players around them that had their best yrs-Walsh,Haas(what year isnt he at his peak)Mam and funnily enough Walters.All players that play in positions that determine results

No,I said Manly shouldn’t compete with the ridiculous $$ Union can throw at him.I also inferred that he was impactful but Manly still missed the finals due to varying reasons/excuses,not the least of all being an ordinary pack.So if Manly try to get in an arms race with someone,over a centre,it’ll leave less $$ for areas they need to spend $$ on

Trobojevics, DCE, Brooks, ....only other standout they have us Haas. We cover those others, supposedly. We lack 2 quality centres and have for years. Have as many Haas's as you want, when our centre's cant tackle, we are rooted. (Koula not included). but he needs some help on the other side. Garrick and Lehi on the wings, still 1 centre short.

I remember when we had a really good defensive centre.
Red-headed fella, and a local junior as well.

Much maligned on ST, for his apparent lack of attacking prowess.

Can't win them all, as they say.

The problem re Koula is that he is managed by Clinton Schifcofske, who I understand is all mixed up in R360

Interestingly, out of all the articles that have linked him, his clients, and R360, Koula’s name has not appeared once. I’m not sure whether that’s something to read into or not, but basically every other high profile client was named, Koula the exception.

Hopefully this means he has zero interest? Clutching at straws here, but I will burn down Brookvale if we lose Koula.
