Hugo Hart

He’d be 18 or 19 , he was in the Nudgee College First XV last year ( they are probably the premier Rugby college , very often winning the annual competition ).

I have friends whose son was in the the same squad , their son is in this years First XV last year, they told me Hugo is an amazing player.

BUT, that’s Rugby of course.

Note Ethan Bullemor also from Nudgee College First XV a few years ago.
Thank you Mark, I look forward to watching his progress and fingers crossed he has a great career at the Eagles.

Tried to see somewhere how long Hart has been signed for but nothing official that i could notice
Certainly hope it is for some extended time but not even an indication that he may be in the development squad soon .
Has to be some quite favorable indication with his potential the way he has progressed this season and those stats last week were definitely on the impressive side
Would be an ideal i st grade game inclusion with his ability to play in the centres as well .
Could well be the type of player who with a good off season could handle the rigors of i st grade footy next year and potential bench player at a minimum even in the early stages but sure hope again that he is committed to Manly for some time yet

Needs a thread title

Is it the "Open Hart thread"

Here's the DT column about the extension for those interested:

MANLY EXTEND TEEN PRODIGY

Manly have handed teenager prodigy Hugo Hart a three year extension until the end of 2028 after fighting off interest from rival NRL clubs.

Hart has played less than 20 rugby league games after transitioning from rugby union, having played schoolboys with St Joseph’s College in Nudgee last year.

The 19-year-old has already played NSW Cup and is destined to play first grade next year, if not earlier. With Hart appearing on the radar of rival clubs, Manly have moved quickly to lock him away.

I bloody hope if we get rubbed out of finals, they play Hart and Navale in place of MCK/Waddell and Sipley. What's the point of playing them anyway? They're leaving.

Same can go for Jazz at 9, vs Simpkin and Muagututia. Why not invest in those who will need the experience?

In my mind if you move Jake to prop, Jazz to lock, Simpkins to hooker and Lodge to the bench even tonight's side looks better balanced. But agree, once it is mathematically impossible lets play Hart, Navale, Zaidas and Laifia to see what they have got with an eye to next year.
