Newcastle's major off-season recruit, former Manly and NSW Origin utility Jamie Buhrer, had no reservations about joining the back-to-back wooden spooners.

While Buhrer's disappointment at having to leave Brookvale after seven seasons and 128 top-grade games has been well documented, he is looking forward to a fresh challenge after signing a two-season deal with the Knights

I saw a Facebook post of @BuhrerfulManly to him yesterday ( to which he responded) wishing him all the best. Whilst Kylie will never be a Knights fan she's still going to be Jamie's No 1 " fan", good on her I say!!

And I too hope Ferris goes well, still cannot believe we dumped him , but as Ned said a long time ago " Such is Life".

It irks to lose such a quality player and bloke as Jamie. I hope he plays well for Newcastle.
His sacking is another example of how off-track the Fulton plan is.
He wasn't sacked he was traded. It could not have occurred if Jamie had not agreed with the deal.

He said he didn't want to leave but he had no choice. Strange thing to say if he was under contract. He was threatened with something to make him leave for sure. He doesn't have his own personal training business they could threaten to ruin, so it can't have been that.

Its call leave, or you will probably play nsw cup all year.

He was forced to leave, plain and simple. Anyone that sees it different must either be blind or Scott Fulton.

They are 2 different things. He wasn't left with no job.
Yes he was 'encouraged' to take up a different opportunity, and I sincerely hope that turns out to have some advantages for him.
Some people don't seem to realise that most deals are struck between parties with unequal bargaining power, and most commonly the difference is overwhelming.

I didn't say that 😛
