If Matai out do we have a (real) centre replacement?

Plenty of options in my opinion but the safest is-
Foran to Centre with Ferris / Gift sharing 6.
as Oldfield is still raw it's be a big ask to put a rookie ( or T Rex )
inside him or to swap Wolfman.
Farrar if fit can slot in too - thats what he's for.
But it may be academic anyway as Matai has a knack of coming back when it's least expected.

Whare hands down is the best backup option at centre this year. Jorge was only named 18th man because snake was carrying a strained hamstring into the game. Pretty sure Jorge would have played wing and Oldfield would have played fullback if snake pulled out.

Neumann played nsw cup yesterday for the dogs.
He's got the goat photos

I thought Oldfield handled himself better today. Took the ball up strongly and only one mishandle (although we got the penalty, a close thing)
He did a great tackle on Hurrell near the end

He also stopped him 1 on 1 easily on the halfway line mid 2nd half. Which says alot after hurrell put choc on his arse.

Tentative defence was the biggest concern I had about Oldfield last year.

His decisive defence in the Warriors game, against some powerful runners, was certainly encouraging.
