I really don’t want to play the Cowboys in week 1 up in Townsville. We got away by the skin of teeth last time we were there. It’s hard to fathom how we could go there twice in one season and win both games.

The Cowboys had everything to play for against the work experience kids from the Storm (minus Papenhuyzen for most of the game) in Townsville last night, and they looked very average... IMO they are far from unbeatable.
We were a bit lucky in our R18 match, but since then Tom has been producing his best post-2021 work at fullback, whereas in that match he was a bit of a passenger at centre.
Would still rather we play at Brookvale, but if we have to win in Townsville then we just have to find a way to do it.
You watch em against the Storm?

If Manly lose tonight and again next week, could finish in 8th spot and not go to Townsville.
This would be if Dragons win both of their 2 games vs Eels and Raiders.
Would leave Dogs vs Manly again in the 5th vs 8th game.
If Manly lose tonight, Manly could before kickoff at 4pm next Sunday week know that a win over Sharks will send Manly to Townsville. Losing means staying in Sydney and playing Dogs.

Dogs have been playing very very tough physical footy. No chance this is a walkover! I’m expecting a close hard fought game. Hope the boys are up for it. Finals start early for us.

The only way we win is if every single thing goes perfectly , almost 100% completion rate , very low penalty count , almost no 6 agains and we win every potential 50/50 situation.
Plus we need the rub of the green for the refs to ignore the bad ass home crowd who will be baying for blood!!

Oh by the way I’m 110% positive our boys will give this a red hot crack, they’ll want to win both of the next two games.
So my negativity isn’t about that we aren’t good enough or them being lazy , they’ll be pulling out all the big guns to win.
