What a tale of 2 halves and even teams.

Finau was one of our best out there tonight. Got to give this kid more time so let's throw him in and see if he stands up. his delivery in that second half was the main factor of getting the team going.

I feel Api might just be a few weeks away in fitness and drive given his long lay off.

Waddel looked really good and even thou he made some errors I really like Gosiewski's effort and mongrel.

Tufa has had his day. he just looks confused and dased most of the time. at least a dozen wingers from other teams would have scored that try in the corner even given it was a tough chance.

Sirro looks short of fitness and drive. hands are poor.

I like Garrick. this kid has some potential. Speed can never ever be overrated.

With Turbo back we may start to look up.

Im still pissed at that Stupid D Walks for leaving us so exposed out wide. Parker just doesnt do it at the moment. Perhaps in time when he bulks up but just no....

Jetski have never been a fan- but will never bag a player who is all in snd he won me tonight with will to fight and never turned it up regardless of the score

JetSki has something, we need to harness it and keep him under some sort of reins as he has a stupid thing in him at least once a game.

I’d seriously drop Joel Thompson, what does he do exactly? Waddell should be given a crack, Sironen if he isn’t injured again is fine as the other second rower.

I’d persevere with Suli in the centres, he has enough upside and I think he will we be even better when we get a dry track. And yes Garrick or funa should be the other centre and winger and Elliott or someone else who isn’t Taufua can be the other winger.

Watching Taufua and that gronk Parker laughing it up with Toupou at the end made my blood boil.

I just can’t see anything good coming from Parker and Taufua side right now. Might be the worst pairing in the nrl.

I'm not getting excited about that second half. They were down to two players on the bench and then Keary spent a fair chunk of it off with a HIA. They got tired and ran out of steam - you'd want to hope we finished stronger than them.

Jetski will miss a week or two for his high shot I suspect, as he has priors. Waddell looks at home in NRL, doesn't seem intimidated or unsure of his role, and is a goer. Think he could develop nicely with any luck. Fainu made the most of a tiring Roosters side, he just looks more natural at dummy half than Api, and his service is streets ahead

Taufa needs a trip back to black town I'm afraid. He's done nothing for years now.

I'm in agreement that Thompson might need a bench spot to see if some young hungry blood steps up.

Yes they were tired but given the amount of ball they had in that first half we were just as gassed. I note we didn't see a fred from our sheds at half time so I wonder if the camera was covered? Spray time?

Fainu nearly won us the game single handed. He should go on at the end of both halves. To think that if the roosters hadn't scored those first two lucky tries we would have won the match.

Parker should spend the rest of the year in Blacktown once turbo is back. And hopefully Hoppa will be ready to take Taufua's place soon too.

They might have been down a few, but easts also scored how many tries off kicks tomorrow tonight and our dopey outside backs? Was it four? Plus terrible conditions two weeks in a row. I’ll take that second half and hopefully Tom comes back and we can build on it.

Everyone talks about DCE needing a halves partner. And he does. But he needs a nine who can hit him on the chest and give him time and room just as badly. The roosters outside backs were forced to make decisions because DCE was hitting them at pace with options, not reaching behind him to drag in a dodgy pass.

DCE NEEDS FAINU not a tough tackling guy with great heart who can’t pass.Let Api have a crack for 10 min , notvthe other way round. It’s an absolute no brainer. But I have a horrible feeling we will see

Yep Roosters took foot off pedal and spine was messed around so im like you C and C, bit tough to gauge.

But the bottom line is, regardless of whether the chooks eased up , that we can’t keep picking blokes who just can’t get the job done week after week and expect to improve. I’ll cop a loss with kids like Fainu and Garrick learning every day of the week over picking supposedly safe options. They are not safe , they just guarantee mediocrity.As a fan it’s great to have hope even if the wins aren’t coming.Does anyone seriously think we will progress picking Api at starting hooker , Parker and Tafua.Answer is no.
