Snake
Snake's Alive!
There was a really irresponsible article in the Telecrap yesterday along the lines of the NRL being "the best drama in Australia" and that fans were "lapping it up" with unprecedented interest because of all the play movement in the market.
What a load of crap! The game is an absolute joke at the moment because the battle is no longer won on the field, it's won at the player managers round table. It's just constant and unrelenting speculation about who will play where, when it might happen and it's been said a thousand times but a contract is no longer a contract. I find the whole thing disturbing, ridiculous and downright putrid. To make matters worse, Greenturd was championing the interest in the NRL which means he is certainly not concerned about fixing this problem for the fans.
Gus has his own idea about he might rectify the problem and I am all for it!

I’d be surprised if fans aren’t totally fed up with all this talk of player movement. We read of clubs being stripped of their stars, weaker clubs losing out to the bigger clubs in the battle to sign marquee talent, and even suggestions that players will ask for a release from their current club only six weeks into this year’s competition, to join another NRL team.
