Thank heavens, someone who posted a decent reply and was on the money. Guys, Nasheed can come off hit and miss with his threads, and this one is up there with the worst I’ve seen, but if you don’t like the thread, just don’t respond and move on...simple. Sometimes we carry on like pork chops...

During the NRL era, the Dogs have played in 4 Grand Finals, though they only won in 2004. The coaches that took them to those GF's were Steve Folkes (1998, 2004) and Des in both 2012 and 2014.

So Barrett without having even coached them in one single game yet is already better than Folkes or Des?

I think they mean to say he is their most handsome coach in the NRL era, however in light of the recent Kurt Capewell revelations, nobody wants to create the impression that (theoretically) they could have been the bloke on the other side of the wall.

Des took a very ordinary dogs team to 2 grand finals. Folkes had a much stronger side.

I remember before a ball was kicked in the twenty era when he came out and stated that DCE was going to be the playmaker on both sides of the field and then teams just rushed him every game and the whole attack floundered.
And the only kicker in the 30 man squad.
