Is Brown our new "BK"

BK had a massive impact and influence on our forward pack, none more than on Choc. If Brownie can have the same impact and influence on Paseka and Ola by getting them to run like he does from the back fence, then I'll say definitely. Imagine Paseka and Ola hitting the defence line from a good run-up than from a standing start as they do on most occasions and then the backline running of that.... we'd be unstoppable!
This. 100%.

How ridiculous. Browny had an absolute ripper of a season! Who would’ve thought this bloke that a lot of us had such disdain for from Parra would become the cult hero and hard working legend he’s been for us.

Slowed down a bit towards the end of the season but the bloke put his body on the line for us all season long and it probably caught up with him towards the end. Hopefully with Tevaga coming next year they can share the load so we aren’t left with such a soft forward pack again.

To answer the initial post honestly… no. That said, I love and respect the heart and effort he has brought to the club. Well done Browny on a great season and exceeding expectations. In all seriousness, you actually did more than what we got from Turbo this season, relatively speaking.

Look to be fair, Brown is a tough and skillful footy player, but I have BK as 1 of the best backrowers the game has seen.
So I'm not trying to make out Brown is at that level as a player, but he is damn good....
What I'm referring to, is his ability to lift the players around him, earn decisions through effort plays, get the crowd involved and he often leads line speed and those rampaging carries through the guts winning momentum for his mates.
I recall Manly having a golden period on the back of BK's short career as a Seaeagle, that basically transformed the team around him, especially the forwards who grew far tougher both physically and mentally, where they competed like dogs over a bone and this is where a Winning formula starts.
He is the closest presense we have had at Manly for a while, which kind of left the building once Watmough departed and gives us that raw gritty attitude and as much as Manly like every club, has had some ordinary signings, I'm rating Brown an A....possibly even an A plus thus far in 2024 and I feel the comparison to BK, in a big way, is fair based on this season.

LOL. this has not aged well 😂

More like Nate Myles 😁
