Before and after the game you couldn’t wipe the smile off him. You reckon he hadn’t played finals before! The first 15 minutes I think he was the dominant half. A cpl of close up shots of him at the scrum base and his eyes were as big as dinner plates. No doubt he had the adrenaline coursing through him.
You just knew he was thinking, "this could be my one and only finals game. I’m not fking around. I’m going all-in straight up!" (Well that was my take on his thoughts anyway 😉 ).

How bloody hard do you think he’s going to go against his former house-mate, and still his best mate Tedesco. I reckon he’ll be all over Teddie from the get-go. And he’ll be smacking down Keary at every chance. Win or lose, he’ll be giving it everything, no doubt.

I think it was when I watched the replay on 9.
They said he’s the only Manly player to play every minute of every game this season, that was another two uppercuts I had to give myself after the things I said about him when I realised we actually signed him for real. But very happy to be wrong. Defence and durability were my two worries as well.

Luke Brooks is packing schiit as DCE has made it easy for him since he joined Manly.

Brooks showed against the Vermin where he is at with game management, the kick and hope high ball for a mistake.

The left edge is not firing at all with the ball this season, only two tries have both come from high kicks on the left edge, round one the bomb Hoppa caught and put Ben T over and then yesterday the high kick with Bully scoring.

That’s two out of seventeen tries that have been scored this season, needs lots of work and Brooks hasn’t owned the attack on that edge.

Brooks can certainly step up he basically carried a hapless tigers for years.
A lot people don’t see that having Brooks in the team playing a very specific role has taken a lot of pressure off DCE… look at how much DCE’s game improved since Brooks arrival

Definately stood up this game and his running and even game management was heaps better than DCE. makes me feel Brooks will possibly play better when Dce is gone!!!🤞

At least the left edge got some action today and was more effective than DCEs side.

I thought Simpkins’ communication was a bit off today. Runners didn’t seem to know who was expecting to receive the ball from him (eg; Lodge’s knock on late).
