Apparently it was so big he got started on Saturday! He certainly has a big Monday morning list to work through.
There was some talk he wanted a role in the head office or the NRL however don’t know where that came from or if there is any truth in it.where has the Mestrov is leaving soon information come from, manly seem to go through them every few years. Would be nice to have someone stick around and drive the club to be a consistent force again.
Except Des could coach. Not sure I want a new, inexperienced coach being mentored by Seibold. Not sure how accurate those reports of an office job for Seibold were anyway.Sounds a little bit like the Bullemor rumours of him wanting to pull the pin on his playing career to take up a job in finance, now he’s just signed a 4 year extensionCould the talk of moving in to front office be Manlys and not seibs
Didnt they want the same thing with Des, Josh Hannay ……succession plan with des taking on an overseer role
Mentoring roles only come when you are viewed as successful , Anthony doesn’t exactly have runs on the board.Except Des could coach. Not sure I want a new, inexperienced coach being mentored by Seibold. Not sure how accurate those reports of an office job for Seibold were anyway.Sounds a little bit like the Bullemor rumours of him wanting to pull the pin on his playing career to take up a job in finance, now he’s just signed a 4 year extension
Couldn’t agree more. The Seibold mentoring/consultancy roles, just seem like something he,Mestrov and Penn have concocted to cover Seibold’s ass.Seibold has a habit of fooling a few people and it appears Manly were the next victims. The push by fans to only have “Manly DNA” type coaches,is ridiculous. Why not go for the best option available? You certainly narrow the options if it’s a Manly only policyMentoring roles only come when you are viewed as successful , Anthony doesn’t exactly have runs on the board.
And mentoring only works when the person being mentored isn’t just a puppet for the mentor.
I can think of only a few people who could be considered quality mentors , Gould ( obviously ) a guy like Tim Sheens ( happy to stand behind and not take the limelight ) but there’s not many more.
De$ is a control freak , my way or the highway.
Everyone rabbits on about having to have Manly DNA, I reckon that’s bull**** , maybe in the past but not with this modern game.
We need to pinch the best young assistant from one of the most successful clubs.
And most of all we need to end the Prima Donna crap that obviously exists in our club , this whole incestuous mix of player A’s girlfriend is the sister of player B so player B is an automatic starter because we don’t want to offend player A.
Selections each week need to be based on performance , you have a **** game the coach says “ next week you need to improve , if not you’ll be headed back to reserves”.
No fear , no favour , no guarantees.
The top 30 compete for positions , regardless of pay packets.
Our roster is ****, coupled with a coach with no obvious game plan, I have zero expectations we will improve this year, as the last 6 weeks have shown. The good teams have kicked into gear, and we have gone backwards.
Quite frankly I think in the modern era it’s complete and utter bull****.Couldn’t agree more. The Seibold mentoring/consultancy roles, just seem like something he,Mestrov and Penn have concocted to cover Seibold’s ass.Seibold has a habit of fooling a few people and it appears Manly were the next victims. Brace yourselfIf they don't respond next week I will be disappointed.
I am ready to be disappointed.
Brace yourself
If they were going to respond yesterday was the day.
It’s going to get extremely ugly from here on

I don’t think there will be an “ in between” it’ll either be a unified , let’s finish the season positively approach.I don't see it that way but you could be right.
The effort vs Raiders was pretty good, and I reckon they have been told just how good it was by coach etc. 28-12 in Canberra in a cold Friday night with half the side out was decent result.
This week they will not get any positive comments, the effort just wasn't there from the group, a few of them busted their humps, some just ain't good enough and others didn't have a dig.
Next week will be interesting.
They’ve certainly got formThis core of players have a history of downing tools when things get tough
