Is the game too fast?

Hey Al
As per my post I clearly say the far bigger issue is they play SLOW as a team.
Everything they do as a team is slow - and the worst of these is slow play the balls and no line speed in defence.
No team plays the game as a whole slower than us.Hence we lose every week- by a lot.

And we will lose this week for the same reasons- by a lot.

As an aside Parker and Croker should be nowhere near any first grade side, in any position, particularly a forward pack.
That is the total reality of it.

The Manly squad plays and looks built for the old rules. Before the Covid break Manly was competing well. Then after the break and the new rules started, its been rubbish ever since.

And yet our props are quite often getting some good go forward and past the advantage line but then slow or poorly directed play after that is no doubt putting no serious or sustained pressure on the opposition's defence . Really have to address the poor completion rates as well , was a major problem for the better part of last season and has not really improved much this year . Defence or organized defence and effective tackling for sure would have to be one of the worst in the comp , Only reason suggesting a position switch for Parker is there are too many troops down for the back row and just think that he could offer more then jet Ski as things now are . Not sure why Des is persisting with Croker . Again have some faith that Foz and Schuster can help improve the side with better attacking options and some long overdue hope that D C E can finally step up to the plate as well

There was a time when teams would tackle all day and 3 tries would win most games. It was a different sport.

I dont think the new rules are the problem, manly just can’t tackle any more.

Nah Rugby League is buggered. It’s past the point of no return with these stupid new rules. There is no going back to the great game we all grew up loving. They will be putting tags on their shorts soon. All this to eliminate the Storm wrestle when the easy solotion in my mind is when the ref calls held defenders have 4 seconds to clear the ruck or penalty
