How do they fit Donny & Matt Ballin in the same role ??

That sounds like a lead in to a joke...waiting for the punchline.
I read somewhere, can't remember where Ballin, needs to up his credentials, maybe he has to work with Donny while doing so then take the conditioning reigns when he adds the necessary qualifications.
I hope so but dreams can be busted

or maybe I am dreaming to big, (happened before when I found out 2 inches wasn't) and will just disappoint myself because I have trouble with something my wife never has..Getting in to deep.. into the dream of a Manly return of Des toovs Ballin...

It’s the Daily Telegraph mate... your usual stance of waiting until the club announces something before contributing to all the pointless speculation, is probably the way to go. Should be made public any old day now.

Both bring a lot to the table , I’d love both but if I had to choose I’d go Donny because of his experience in the job plus also he’s older and I’m thinking the players would be looking up to him.

Whereas Matty’s only just retired , some will have played with him so I’m thinking he will have to gain respect not have it from the get go!!

Hopefully we get both.

My guess...

Probably because Donny is a proven, respected and a 2x premiership winner in the role of training elite athletes. No one could say that he does not represent Manly either.

Ballin is all of the above but not yet proven in that specific role.

I believe it was initially reported that Ballin will join us in some capacity. It was never said he'll be our head strength and conditioning coach. Just us silvertails getting excited. Singe would be the perfect man for Ballin to do his apprenticeship under and gain all his qualifications.
Hasler Cartwright Randall Donny and Ballin has the makings of a good coaching staff. Offload Perrett and add another big boppa and maybe another specialist winger and happy days

I agree . I was just saying I wasn't disagreeing with your preference of Donny . I like Matty as well but as you said Donny has been there and produced the goods before

Because Donny has extensive training and experience. Matt is early in his career and as far as I’m aware would only be qualified to be a junior (as in less experienced not coaching kids) S&C coach
