'He had to leave.' No he didn't, he was simply disloyal. He wanted to play fullback and with the likelihood of Matthew Ridge returning from injury for the 1994 season, he took the money and ran to Norths. Only for Matt Seers to come along and push him out of his favourite fullback spot. Nice irony there.

Then he was interested in returning to Manly very late in his career, but his asking price was way over what the Club could pay and what he was really worth at that stage.
