Was at the game as well, and after the game he went around and took plenty of photos with the supporters. In the northern left corner he was there for about 15 mins doing snap after snap. Tom did something similar with Ben for a while as well. Not knocking it, I thought that it was really cool they took time talking and chatting with anyone. There not the usual ego maniacs that other players are like.

Thing that surprised me was Burbo, Shoe & Toula doing some sprints after the game when the crowd had pretty much left.

Sat down with Cliffy Lyon and his family for 20 mins as well. Fair dinkum he's a good bloke.

Ok losing Jake was bad enough, now Davey WTF, hopefully no more positives, guess Bully becomes next man up. This makes the whole pack reshuffle a little more complicated. They all just have to dig in and play like our season hangs on it, do that and we should still be to good for Saints.

I would assume burbo (he seems to be ahead of bully) but he is most likely going to have it living with Jake. If bully is in hopefully he can fire up and show he is first grade worthy

Whats the NRL’s protocol around close contacts? or is that not an issue anymore, anyway possible chance Ben might return a positive given they live together. On that thought, Davey might share it with his flatmate.

Apparently Andrew Davey also has Covid and won't play. Josh Schuster is his likely back row replacement. At a guess I'd say either De Luis or Burbo will come onto the bench.

Schuster to lock... simple as! Paseka to the bench... bit more prop rotation required to try and make up for Jake's carries. Not sure though who makes up his 40/50 tackles... that is a huge huge hole to fill and then considering nobody will be there to do all the tidy up work he does. Arghhhhhh

Not sure what game people are watching!!!he is consistently 40+ tackles 150+ run metres minimum 70min in a side going like a busted proverbial.

There is a silver lining in Jake's exclusion. He is coming off a couple of gruelling Origin matches. The Knights have a more damaging pack than St Merge, so losing him this week is probably better. We should be able to control the Dragons big men, because they aren't that damaging. Jake gets a much needed rest to come back fitter for the Chooks.

Not sure what game you watched on the weekend. He isn’t total garbage, nor is Bullymor. But they both looked right at home in reserve grade. Once Paseka went off at halftime, Newcastle put on 22 points in the second half. And a lot of it came from them going straight thru the front door. Not good enough if you’re hoping to play 1st grade. Would be happy to be proven wrong, but I just dont see it.

Yes and we are sharing the same thought process, I see Lane and his teammates have gone into camp on the central coast for the week, supposedly to freshen up mentally, cough!
