Jake T.

Have you factored in the amount of head knocks he's had lately?
Yep. I think it's time for Jake to retire and replace Jim Dymock as our defence coach. The recent head knocks have, unfortunately for Jake, fast-tracked this situation from 2027 to 2026.

I initially thought Seibold would make a pretty good head of football, but his ineptitude this season (particularly around the DCE situation) should rule that out as well.

Ballin, Ennis (attack), Jake (defence), Snake (attack consultant), (to be followed by Turbo in a couple of seasons), and Hales could work ok for us in 2026/2027. It would also restore the real Manly way to the club, not the bastardisation of so-called Manly culture that we have today.

Sad to hear Jake is still struggling with this concussion according to the journo’s on 360. They said it’s possible for him to be shut down for the rest of the season & they all agreed he should consider retirement

Nothing against Jake but he's nowhere near the player he used to be. I think we can all agree on that the game has got to fast for him and that's causing him trouble with his tackling. Love the guy because he's Manly through and through. But with $900k we could buy a much better player IMO. GO MANLY

**** that is bad news if hes still struggling, wish him all the best i think retirement could be the best thing the consequences of risking your health aren't worth it in this instance

When U called hiuseless on the weekend it was for his lack of urgency and mental fragillity giving away that ruck penalty

Jakes ruck penalties just scream a lack of resilience, the timing of them, ahh they are weak when he needs to be enjoying the grind, he is slow when it's time to step up the intensity. It screams of the mental fragillity we have all come to hate about this weak team of ours over recent years.

I hate seeing anyone get knocked out. Useless was never directed at Jake for that, and well before he stuck his head on old mates shoulder

There's plenty of you unhappy Navale hasn't seen more A grade, unfortunately Jake given he's playing 13, he really is Navale's biggest impediment to first grade.

This week with Weekes having the better of Turbo. It a good reminder that it doesn't take long before the apprentice calls no one master.

Our club doesn't grow much of its own talent to start with, it just increases the need to find ways to keep your best home grown kids. Navale needs a spot.

Jake, I can't see him not going around next year. But I seriously think Jake warming the bench is what should be being discussed with him right now, given its contract time.

Andrew Fifita got to win a comp moving back to the bench and helping generation next.

Same with Turbo, Lehi is our current 1 for me never mind the future, Turbo at centre, five eight the way he plays it probably matters little which. But freeing him up by getting him out of the 1 has been good for the team. Just as dangerous floating In attack.

I'd be giving Turbo the Captaincy next year. He's already a leader in this team,, he's a talker, but not a ranter like Jake, getting Turbo out of the 1, its the team first play and the mature play we need from a champion we want doing more controlling and calling the shots as opposed to being our do it all himself man he so often has been wearing the no 1.

The six again rule brought his retirement forward by 5 years.

Remember when Jake started he would have a handy passing game in the ruck, mainly a cheeky inside or outside ball to Tommy.

Im not sure when it got put away or under which coach, I thought it may have been Hasler but I think that part of his game was gone even before then.

It gave him a POD in attack, where now he's largely in effective and just playing a simple hit up role or link out to the backs.
