If the raiders lose him its on them they had a clause they could and probably should have activated their trying time drive down his value and the length of the deal so while their saying how wonderful they are their not doing him any favours. I hope he leaves regardless if he joins us that'll teach them a lesson. I have no love for Ricky Stuart.
 
There’s an irony in his comments on Fogerty. He’s insinuating that he cares so much about his players that he’ll be upfront with them about what he can offer, even if it means losing them, but if they don’t like the offer, he’ll enforce the anti-tampering deadline?!

Raiders are now tabling a 2-year, $1 million extension. Undoubtedly we'd have to offer more to beat them now.

If we see Brooks and Turbo in the halves next year, that'll be incredibly embarrassing. I believe the club said that Adam Reynolds was next on the list? Possibly Foran too, somehow.
 
I am honestly starting to think that one of the parties in this saga is simply using the public setting to game the outcome. More generally in the game, this whole public theatre of mid-season announcements, negotiations official or semi-official, speculations and rumours, it just has to be stopped. The NRL has to fix this.
 
I'm not fussed if Fogarty stays in Canberra. I reckon we have plenty of options for half and five-eighth.
What we need is a forward pack that outplays the opposition, which means beefing up in most positions. We are not improving with Tent (always injured), Sippers (reserve-grade standard), Al (inconsistent), Burbo (does not look like he'll ever be an elite first grader), Jurbo (at lock), Jazz and Simple (far from elite hookers).

How many are first grade standard. Brooks has proven himself incapable of running a team. So Arthur or Wakeham? Turbo who has never played 5/8 and is always injured and two rookies who may be stars but are not 1st grade standard yet.

Plenty of reserve grade options.
