James Hooper shut down by Tallis

Was good to see Gordon Tallis questioning why James Hooper thought Tooves was in trouble.
Hooper didn't have much to say after Gordy shut him down. Also Big Willie had a little smile on his face when Gordy was talking to Hooper about it.

The worst part is he is the rugby league representative on the Back Page which paints the NRL in a bad light. Most of the time the rest of the panel have a better idea about what is going on in rugby league than he does. As a rugby league supporter it's embarrassing, surely they could find someone with atleast half an idea to give special comments on rugby league.

I wouldn't say Tallis has no love for us. Most of the time I hear him talk he is very complimentary of the way the team plays, he loves our toughness. I've also heard him on several occasions say that Tooves is the toughest player he has ever played against.

Tallis is always very complimentary about Tooves. Always sticks up for him, and you can see the respect he has for the fella he said was 'the toughest person her ever played against'.

And to be fair Tallis does have respect for the Manly culture.

i remember driving home after manly had the last minute try to win against penrith last year & listening as tallis described the feeling at the game that day.
