I heard they offered him a block of villas in downtown Rome and a gig writing for the Galilean Telegraph.Yeah but one signed with the other side halfway through the season...
Judas I think his name was. Judas of Bondiariot
I think it was pretty clear Seibold didn’t rate Humphries. And money
Mestrov and Spoony knew at the end of 2023 that DCE asked for a release.
Yet they didn't re-sign him.
Not too sure that Brooks would necessarily wish to walk with one year still remaining on his deal for 27 .Walsh plays on the left and Fogarty plays on the right. I’m thinking Walsh will play 6 for us so it doesn’t really matter how long Fogarty is with us for.
Who’s Hughes? We need to fast track Hughes or we may lose him plenty of demand out in the market with the new sides coming in. He can potentially play 7 and Fogarty 6 in the longer term.
Personally not convinced on Humphreys.Could have saved a whole lot of BS and not having to sign Fogarty, had we just kept Jamie Humphries all along.
I said this when DCE started this media circusIf the kid is good enough, play him during origin and who knows? An injection of a young enthusiastic half might just make the difference!
I like your thinking…err…dreaming.I said this when DCE started this media circus
I really hope Walsh plays 7 during origin and absolutely stars to the point where DCE is dropped to NSW cup..
Oh the joy.. Qld captain playing NSW Cup..talk about newspaper headlines mr Media DCE will really throw a tantrum and expose his true nature.. the media would have a field day..wake me up..I'm dreaming..no give me another 5 blissful minutes 😂🤣
I want to get to the part where Joey gets us into the finals and DCEs final home game is playing 14 off the bench... comes on to a huge Boooooo everytime he touches the ball..hahaha
Gets dropped for final series and we go all the way!
Please footy gods! 🙏
But hasn't Souffs won five of the six matches in which he's played?Personally not convinced on Humphreys.
Much prefer Fog and Walsh.
Just some stats for this season.
Humphreys in 6 games has 2 try assists and 1 line break assist.
As a comparsion...
Tom Weaver in 3 games has 3 and 1
King-Togia in 2 games has 3 and 2
Ilias in 7 games has 4 and 4
Clifford in 7 games has 4 and 3
But hasn't Souffs won five of the six matches in which he's played?
That would indicate his worth to a team is much more significent than mere stats alone.

To show how weird and/or skewed stats can be, take a look at these:Finally some people all they do is read stats. The only stat that matters is the one you quoted is Humphreys a world beater? no but he the team functions and wins more when he plays.
He has been quoted as saying that he wanted to keep him!I think it was pretty clear Seibold didn’t rate Humphries.
That doesn’t make sense if he knew DCE was leaving and wanted to keep what he thought was a readymade replacement, why didn’t he? If he knew the DCE cash was available we could have easily matched Souths offer. My recollection was that Humphries had to wait a long time for his debut and was then not seen again. Could be wrong, but it sure gave the impression he was surplus to requirements. Anyway, water under the bridge. He has been quoted as saying that he wanted to keep him!

How is he a safer option? One has more potential to grow and develop and the other is on the side of 30 with no premierships to his name.I've been watching Humphries progress and im still not convinced he has all the attributes to be an elite half.
I hope he does, but, at this stage I feel Fogarty is the safer option.

Fair enough. From memory we were using him at hooker in reserves, so you can see why he’d want to move.Nope! He said that they wanted to keep him. Humphries chose to go to souths for the opportunity and Bennett
