Aside from the confusion of multiple nicknames fans bestow on players, also worth keeping in mind the issue highlighted by Erin Molan's attempted joke, namely in some cultures a person's name has great significance to the point where it might be hurtful or very insulting to disrespect their name. That episode caused me to think twice about some of the monikers I'd been using.

Well his nickname is Shmole and his name is Olakau'atu....so 2.

Whereas Cherry-Evans may have 3 with his name, then his abbreviation in DCE and his nickname in Chez

Likewise. I have Olakau’atu down as Guac in the MVP spreadsheet as that was his predominant nickname last year but will be changing it to Big O as the other has potential to be offensive.
